Six months after the IB Career-related Programme (CP) was officially launched as a standalone programme available to all schools, the programme approaches another milestone. The 100th CP school will soon be authorized.

The CP is now delivered in 16 countries around the world. An additional 34 IB World Schools are candidate schools for the programme at this time, a further 75 have registered their interest, and preparations are well under way for the opening of candidacy for non-IB World schools from April 2016.

Additionally, in the United Kingdom, access to university for CP students will now be facilitated by the allocation of tariff points for the Reflective Project by the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) Tariff Advisory Group. The Reflective Project has been awarded the same points as those awarded to the Extended Essay. The UCAS tariff points will be applied to all Reflective Projects submitted from May 2016.

The Reflective Project is also accredited by The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) who regulate qualifications, examinations and assessments in England and they have accepted it on to the Register of Accredited Qualifications.
