The International Baccalaureate (IB) is excited to join the 2026 ASU+GSV Summit as a sponsoring partner, standing alongside entrepreneurs, investors, philanthropists, educators, workforce leaders, and policymakers who are transforming the education and skills sector. More than 7,000 registrants are expected to convene at the event, taking place April 12-15 in San Diego.

This year’s ASU+GSV Summit is exploring the theme “The Power of Fusion”, and represents a key space where conversations about the future of education, skills, and workforce pathways are actively taking place. The Summit provides a chance to connect with universities, edtech partners, and industry leaders, and to position the IB within this evolving landscape, particularly around career-related learning.

It also provides a valuable opportunity to engage directly with the IB community of schools and educators in attendance, and hear how innovation and transformation are unfolding at ground level.

The ASU+GSV Summit began in 2010 as a collaboration between Arizona State University (ASU) and Global Silicon Valley (GSV). The Summit brings together a uniquely influential cross-section of leaders across education, technology, philanthropy, government, and workforce development. Guided by the belief that all people should have equal access to the future, the event proposes that scaled innovations in the delivery of education and workforce skills will be critical to succeeding in its mission.

In July 2023, ASU became an IB career-related studies (CRS) partner and recognised the Career-related Programme (CP) as meeting its high school graduation requirement for admission, opening new opportunities for students in the US and beyond. ASU is giving CP students access to online, university credit-bearing courses connected to career pathways, in addition to certification programs such as Google Informational Technology, Business Data Analytics and Project Management.

The IB’s commitment to partnership, innovation, and high quality education naturally aligns with the Summit’s mission, making it a standout strategic platform for expanding the organisation’s educational reach. Sponsoring the Summit is an opportunity for the IB to gain insights into emerging trends, strengthen its global network, and make new connections, as it seeks to expand its impact for learners and educators around the world.
