Ecuador aims for 500 IB World Schools

The Ecuador Times recently highlighted the ongoing development of IB World Schools in Ecuador.

Ecuador’s Minister of Education, Augusto Espinosa, states that more than 200 schools across the country are now implementing an IB programme. This number is set to increase over the coming years as the Ecuador government aims to establish an IB programme in a total of 500 public schools around the country by 2017.

According The Ecuador Times, more than 6,000 students are involved in this development. Additionally, 6,400 teachers, 900 coordinators and 800 principals and vice-principals are undergoing training to implement the curriculum in schools.
